All teachers must complete one professional development sessions for Cambridge to meet our Digital Citizenship requirements for the 2023-2024 school year.
Digital Citizenship Training
Please complete ONE of the following online professional development sessions and respond in the form below:
Teaching Digital Citizenship
Prepare your students for success as digital learners, leaders, and citizens, and create a road map for teaching digital citizenship in your classroom. In this one-hour interactive training, you'll learn the six core concepts of digital citizenship and explore how you can integrate Common Sense's curricular lessons into your classroom. Educators who complete this course will earn a certificate of completion. The training also counts toward earning the Common Sense Educator badge. YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE AN EDUCATOR ACCOUNT WITH COMMON SENSE MEDIA TO ACCESS THIS TRAINING.
Protecting Students' Privacy Online
This 1-hour interactive online course for educators will introduce the topic of student online privacy and offer concrete best practices for managing the risks to students. It will include specific tools and methods for assessing the privacy and security of products commonly used in the classroom, and it will support teachers in mitigating the risk of student data being compromised. YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE AN EDUCATOR ACCOUNT WITH COMMON SENSE MEDIA TO ACCESS THIS TRAINING.
